Originally from Southern California, Dr. Matthew Giang received his dental degree from UC San Francisco and his BA from UC Berkeley. Dr. Giang believes in treating patients like family members and emphasizes dental education and prevention. He enjoys taking the time to talk to his patients and explain both simple and complex dental procedures to put patients at ease, especially those with dental anxiety and fear. Premium concierge-level patient care, service, and satisfaction are his top priorities.

Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Giang pursued a career in architecture and obtained his architect’s license. After a successful career in architecture, he wanted to connect to people in a way he didn’t have the opportunity to as an architect — on a more personal and individual level. So Dr. Giang made the difficult decision to return to school, and was accepted into San Francisco State University’s highly coveted Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program. After an arduous seven year journey juggling school and raising a new family, Dr. Giang succeeded in realizing his goal to become a dentist.

Now a practicing dentist for many years, Dr. Giang’s professional experience in dentistry and as a licensed architect blend the science and art of modern dentistry. His commitment to premiere craftsmanship and meticulous detail combined with an artistic sensibility ensure that patients will receive first-class quality, service, and aesthetics in their dental care.

Dr. Giang lives in the Sunset District of San Francisco with his wife, a native San Franciscan born and raised in the nearby Richmond District, and two young daughters. Serving and treating the people of San Francisco — building relationships and a community while meeting individual needs — fulfills that initial passion for connection that sparked Dr. Giang’s journey to becoming a dentist, and is a dream he lives every day. When not in the office, Dr. Giang loves cooking and spending time with his family exploring the city.
